What we love in a novel are the little things that we identify, the everyday world that then grows up chaotic and apocalyptic proportions, until it loses the original meaning (and then we do not like much because "they have flip "or" sure do not know how to finish. ") Frodo's greatness lies in not wanting the ring and have doubts, Sam's willingness to accompany him to the final (Elvish grammar is just a bonus).
And life is full of happy endings. People get married, falls in love, have children, dreams and projects, things that can be considered the beginning of something new is coming (and hope is always present, promises to be good stuff).
